Gratefulness Today

People often take life for granted. Complaining about the things they don’t have and want and never be grateful for the things they do have.  There are always going to be rough and tough days. Days when you don’t want to get out of bed. Days when you wish that all the annoying people in your life would somehow disappear. You make life difficult for yourself because you can’t get what you want and you lose focus on what you really need. You end up making life difficult for the people around you and make yourself out to be the victim of life and its ups and downs. As Miranda Kerr said, “Every day, I like to wake up and remind myself to be grateful for the simple things.” Be grateful for the simple things in your life it will make a difference.

There will always be someone that is better off than you, yes but there will always be someone is worse off. These persons are in the position they are in due to various circumstances. Whether it is their own doing or it is caused by someone else or even due to mental, physical or environmental reasons.

We fail to open our eyes and recognize that even though you are fussing over the things you don’t have and suddenly you get all depressed and angry about it, the world still goes on. Time will not slow down because you feel deprived of something. Time will not stop because you are angry, neither will those around you. They might try to help you get on your feet but you must make the effort to continue after you have been pulled up. Stand up for what is right.

As Martin Luther King Jr. would have said, “We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.”
